Frequently asked questions

Is there really no file size limit?
On the free plan, files up to 5 GB are supported. Pro accounts can send up to 100 GB per file, and Team accounts have no per-file limit at all.
How does end-to-end encryption work?
Your file is encrypted in your browser using a key that lives only in the share link. Our servers store the encrypted blob — they cannot read its contents. When the recipient opens the link, the browser decrypts the file locally.
Do files really get deleted after they expire?
Yes. Expired files are removed from primary storage immediately and from backup storage within 24 hours. There is no recovery option after expiration.
Can I use drums.share for commercial work?
Absolutely. The Pro and Team plans are built for that — they include custom branding, longer retention, password protection, and a developer API.
What types of files are not allowed?
Anything illegal, malicious, or infringing. We take abuse reports seriously and reserve the right to remove content that violates our terms.
